Mine does too! Jumps up and catches them in the air as they come in for the birdbath or the fig tree. I thought it was an oddity, or because we play catch with a frisbee. Guess not!
Nope. They are good bird dawgs.
I have a big field behind me and it has lots of field mice.
They scatter when it gets mowed. and Pooks goes after them too, like a fox! He wipes em out.
Now a burglar? L0L good luck. Show up at my house with a sausage and this dawg will tumble L0L
