The election in Iraq are more legitimate than the American presidential election.
I was in the navy for 21 years, and I was near Baghdad, Sept. 2004-Mar. ‘05. During the American election, of Nov. 2004, about 61% of voting-age U.S. citizens voted. During the Iraqi election of Jan. 2005, about 70% of them voted, although many of them thought that they would be shot, while they were waiting, in line.
