Here it is Rush:

Ayers, who was discussed Wednesday night during the presidential debate, is slated to be a keynote speaker at a Nov. 15 conference sponsored by the university’s College of Education and Human Sciences.

The education professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago was a founder of Weather Underground in the late 1960s. The group claimed responsibility for bombing several government buildings, including nonfatal explosions at the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol.

Republican presidential nominee John McCain’s campaign has made an issue of Democrat Barack Obama’s limited ties to Ayers.

“We do not condone his 1960s, 1970s actions in any way, shape or form ... but we are interested in the 40 years since then, when he has developed skills in topics that are of interest to our students and faculty,” said Marjorie Kostelnik, dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences.

“We have made clear to him that what we are interested in is his research, not his political past.”
