Perhaps I wasn’t clear in making my point.
Many in here have stood upon the “rule of law” when defending their anti-illegal stance....as in “What part of the “Rule of Law” don’t you understand?”
Here we have a good, hard-working man who stops a game of catch with his son to walk across the street to the rope line where the Messiah was talking to the great unwashed.
The State of Ohio goes after him because he is essentially, an unlicensed, (illegal) plumber...who happens to still owe the state about $1150.
Yet, all we get is hundreds of posts ignoring that fact and finding it in their hearts to come to his defense....a noble deed, BTW.
That’s the only irony I was pointing out. So...bag it.
And you are obviously too obtuse to grasp the similarities as we have a man who...at least when this went down... was not 'properly documented' to work as a plumber in Ohio.
I understand that one can get an apprentice license that is valid for 12 months. You can renew it once...total of two years.
After that, you are obliged to take an exam and/or field test to acquire a master plumber's license.
He never took the steps to do so...and instead continued to work without the proper state license or permit.
At least that's the news that's out there and hasn't been thoroughly debunked.

I wonder how much DCPatriot owes to the taxing authorities. I can tell you that if I only owed $1150 in taxes right now I'd be a happy man. I'd even be happy if the US Treasury would fix their books and stop dunning me for a couple of thousand bucks they THINK I owe for 2005. The fact that I have a canceled check and have through my accountant supplied now two copies of this check to the IRS doesn't seem to impress them, but if I were Joe and the adoring gestapo reported it, DCPatriot would be impressed.
You seem to be a "patriot" only in the way Joe Biden wants us to understand the word, Pal.

And I don’t even care about the taxes. Just reminding everybody of the double standard in pointing out he needs to pay the $45. and take the exam. Until then....he’s an ‘illegal’.

I'm guessing you speed, which makes you "illegal" too. Read Atlas Shrugged and pay attention to the little part about the proliferation of laws. I don't have a copy where I am, or I'd quote it for you. Basically we have enough laws so that everyone is in violation of several, which makes it possible for the powers that be to throw the book at whomever they please. Using the word "illegal" in the sense which most here associate with those who are invading our country in connection with Joe is obscene.

I used a plunger this morning and I’m unlicensed. Where should I report for prosecution? LOL
MY grandfather was an electrician for most of his life. In his later years he dropped his electrician’s license and became an electrical inspector. He still picked up occasional wiring jobs and had me an “illegal electrician” doing the work.
Duh, he doesn’t make $250K now, that’s why he aspires to buy the business - it’s the American Dream - you work hard, you move up. Of course in Afrimerika, we won’t be able to do that - we’ll be working to support the “leisure class” so they can have what they want but won’t work to get.
