There are many skilled tradesmen (craftsmen) who make a very good living especially when they aspire to their own business. The liberal elite will work to end this possibility. To them being a government worker is the ultimate (and when you consider the Bennies and retirement, even that can be lucrative. I don’t begrudge the hard working ones (and there are many), but there are many doing nothing and getting above average wages. Plumbers and electricians etc only get paid when they produce.

The trades are a way for folks without college to be able to earn a good living. And if they eventually own their own businesses, they can do quite well.

Demonizing the tradesmen and their living is pure stupidity. It is really one of the best ways for a person who wants to work hard to be able to rise from poverty. If you take a kid from the inner city, apprentice him/her, he/she can do very well financially in life.

Obviously, you have never worked with the union electricians at the McCormick Convention Center in Chicago. ;~))
