A few days ago, I realized this is what McCain needs to win:
He needs to run against Bush.
Yes, against Bush.
Against the liberal GOP establishment.
Against the GOP socialism.
Against Shifty Paulson.
Against Franklin D. Bush - the person who is nationalizing American business.

He needs to run for: free market, conservative solutions.
FOR: the economic plans put forward by Savage, Gingrich and Forbes.
THAT - is how he can win against Obama.
If McCain can convince America that he thinks GW Bush is Jimmay Carter, and that he (or Palin, take your pick) is the new Reagan, then THAT is how he can win.
McCain wanted to run a “country club” campaign.
Not gonna work.
He blew it by coming out for the bailout.
Imagine if he’d called out Bush, Paulson, Pelosi and Reid on their Bankers Bailout Ripoff.
Differentiating from both Barak and Bush, Triangulation.
But he didn’t.
