Hey I was just responding to our poor friends pain. And yes, I once did. To San Diego to watch my son graduate from Marine Corp boot camp. Most beautiful city I’ve ever seen in my life, seriously.
But I nearly swallowed my tongue when I picked up a local paper there and read the real estate classifieds. Unfreakinbelievable. I could buy a mansion here in Wichita for what it takes to buy a little shack there. I’d live there if I could though, beautiful beautiful place. And the weirdest thing? It was the end of July in 2006 and we didn’t see one single fly. Not one. I thought that was truly bizzare.
I’m not from there nor lived there yet traveled that state. It is a most beautiful state and it would be hard to leave after making the decision to stay. Unfortunately the taxes are now repressive and may require a move.
The San Diego area is beautiful. I lived there after high school. No flies, hardly any mosquitos, almost no bugs at all, no humidity.
Although, believe it or not, there are some there who claim to have never seen a cow. (I've met themthose people, not the cows!).
