Yes and McCain asked point blank about voting for the bill avoided the question. When McCain was ask why he voted to give ACORN money he avoided the question. Obama can kill him on this in the debate tonight.

Is it specifically required to have the money go to ACORN, or is it to a general type of organization like that?

If true, then McCain's RECENT actions take ACORN off of the table. Actually, I am certain that Obama will mention it anyway as a means of defusing the issue.

Not to get too far off topic, but I just read that transcript. Either the transcriber is on drugs or John McCain is incoherent. “Well, frankly some people, having worked in congress for some period of time, I prefer Goofy.”

McCain could have won hands down if he came out against the bailout bill. Now he has saddled himself with all its crap.

I thought it was a flat fee to ACORN of $420 written into all mortgage
constracts, due to legislation passed in the summer.
But maybe that’s an average number based on an average mortgage.
Either way, it’s a In-Freakin-Credible OUTRAGE!!!
If I was buying a house, and the seller was desperate, I’d say
the only way I’m closing is that you give $420 to the RNC.

What is Glenn talking about? A law signed over the summer to give 4% to ACORN? I don’t think so...something’s getting lost in translation here. Is Glenn talking about the first bailout bill that didn’t pass the house, but would have passed the Senate and the President sign it?
To: cripplecreek
Just out of curiosity - which candidate would be doing better right now? In the do-over, among the ones who ran this year, who would you pick over McCain? Is that who you supported previously?
To: pillut48
Freeper posted here over the weekend the proof that in the bailout bill there is $100,000,000.00 for ACORN.
