Interesting facts on the gay marriage ban. Whites that oppose the gay marriage ban are voting for Obama. Whites that support the gay marriage ban are voting for McCain. Blacks who oppose the gay marriage ban are backing Obama. Blacks who support the gay marriage ban are backing Obama.

I bet the numbers are a LOT higher too. I would be surprised if it’s less than a 65% win for proposition 8.

Mr Schmidt said more than 11,000 gay couples had tied the knot in California since May

Hmmm... I wonder where this number comes from. The marriage certificates do not state whether the couple is same sex or not. This allows gay supporters to make up any number they want.

Lets say the number is correct. 22,000 married gays out of 38,000,000 in the state. 0.06% That's not a very large constituency to raise such a ruckus.

I think that on Proposition 8, there will be a huge Bradley Effect.

“There is no question that African-American and Latino communities are social conservative communities,”

That explains all that support for Republicans.

Seriously, this quote can only come from a moron. Abortion and bastard babies rule the day with blacks.

A spokesman for “No on 8” ... Steve Schmidt. “Every time somebody sees one of our ads, they’ve seen two of theirs.”
...
As of last week, gay marriage opponents had raised more than $19.7m, compared with $18.5m raised by gay marriage supporters, according to data compiled by the Los Angeles Times.

If the Yes on 8 runs twice as many ads as the other side for only 6% more money, that's efficient use of the money.

I've heard the Gavin Newsom "whether you like it or not" ads every day, and I've seen some TV ads supporting Prop 8. They are all very good.
