I think the typical acting standards have sunk so low as to be almost nonexistent anymore and the only way for an actor to advance himself in such a barren wasteland is to spew the most venom against the political and cultural Right.

But that is no excuse because they could make a change by insisting the films they are offered have artful meaning, but then that would mean having to actually have talent and that takes work and time and effort.

A local video store is going out of business and is selling everything off at cut rate prices. I bought a few of the interesting titles but was totally stunned by just how much utter garbage is produced. Not even 1 in a 100 is worth 5 bucks.
