In many states submitting falsified documents to a govt agency is a felony.

Falsifying official documents incurs felony charges for first-degree tampering with public records, first-degree offering of a false instrument for filing, fourth-degree grand larceny, and first-degree falsifying of official records.

Sure, the “Mikey Mouse” registrations are a crime.

The “Republican profiling” you talk of, however, is not a crime.

What it is, is a violation of the 501(c)(3) non-profit status because it shows ACORN is a partisan organization. Probably more important.
