The UK, not the US.
No, we shouldn't.
I didn’t see the link to the full article:

Maliki seems to want the American troops there a bit longer
“Mr al-Maliki hopes that the pact with the US will be approved by the end of the year. Failure to do so would force him to ask the UN to extend its mandate for all foreign troops to stay in Iraq. However, if a US-Iraq deal is clinched in time, Britain could be caught out.”
I doubt that only Maliki was behind the decision. It’s likely that he also received advice from some of our own.
Ouch.
Why ouch? Isn’t that what Americans are waiting for. President Bush always said that when Iraq can support themselves they will let us know when to go.
He’s right. The Brits did cede Basra to Sadr’s goons.
Not until that PERFECT pair of socks are found at the very least!
No, he’s saying the UK troops should go home, not US troops.
The UK troop leadership REALLY screwed up Basra, to the point where US troops practically had to retake the city. IMHO, the Iraqis are right to refuse the sort of “help” they were getting from the Brits.

Read it again. He’s talking about that incident when the UK made a deal with the Mahdi before pulling out of Basra last year. He’s talking about the UK leaving, not the US.

No indeed!
That sounds like an invitation to us, one that we should greatfully accept. They don’t want us there anymore and Britain isn’t getting anything out of it other than frazzled soldiers who are overstretched from going between Iraq and Afghanistan....
I assure you that Miliki is hoping for an Obama victory.
That does not mean that the coalition forces . . . did not provide any help, he said of that offensive and others across the country. They did provide help and it was important.
The UK has learned from past experience that dealing with the enemy does not bring positive results. Nothing has changed there. They should have known better.
What area is now the most “difficult”. Can they assist there?
So where is the thanks to the Brits? Meat head
