“Same paper that said we should pull out of Iraq since the war was lost
How the hell does this piece of garbage still existThey are always wrong and their readers still swallow what they editorialize on!”
Exactly on target, and I would add another observation. BS opeds like this telling us that all is lost seem to hit the core of too many freepers, who try to tell us they know best.
Look at the people agreeing with this beltway arrogant snob.

"But I have to fight. I just CANT give up."Please do not think I was advocating giving up. Do not give up.
Just that I've been in the fight for over 15 years, and can't say I have made any significant progress. If you had been with us for the past 15 years, maybe things would have worked out differently.
Oh, and several million of your closest friends, too.
FWIW: I am not giving up either, just wondering how to fight the next battle.

Is he insane? I thought this was satire.Either satire or Kristol forgot to take his meds today.
I find it rather amusing to watch neocons experience an eye-opener.

People forget that candy ass Kristol and metro-sexual Brooks are the original makeover artists for McCain post 2000. They are his original groomers and media switch operators. For Kristol to be urging McCain to start all over at the 11th hour belies how ill conceived, advised, equipped and poorly managed his campaign continues to be. But then, I expect as much from a republican candidate made up from Kristols and Brooks bolt of whole cloth. Bump!

Why does Kristol care who wins?
One, because the mindless neocon drive on Iran will collapse without McCain.
Two, only a GOP administration will employ Kristol's neocon friends.

Hasn't uttered a word about Endless War or even mentioned LIEberman as Secy of State and Defense ----like the pukes want him to. Not to mention hiding Hernandez under a rock.
Betcha Billy's Daddy took the little jerk to the woodshed and slapped him around----so If Little Bill doesn't Hurry Up and Do Something, Daddy will take the magazine away from him.
Watch puke stooge Lieberman surface.....nudging McC to toe the puke line......or else.

Surely you’ve noticed the trend on the cable news and other news shows on television, it is increasingly more the norm that an expert of consultant is a particular race shared by Mr. Obama, especially in a race where we are constantly told by these very same people that ‘race does not matter’.

It is just logic that when your opponent has no record for you to attack, you MUST then attack his judgment. The most direct path to do so is to attack his personal friends and associations. In Obama’s case, he has made that task relatively easy. That his associations are abominable is something even Democrats do not refute. They instead are determined to end the debate by terming it “racist”, the ultimate non-argument.

Gracious, I have been at “this” for 50+ years! Unfortunately, when I started, it was waaaay before we had anything like FR, or even Rush. No one can give up, we have to keep trying, even if we only achieve something like a Ronald Reagan once in a great while. It is still worth the effort.
With FR, Rush, Hannity, etc., we at least have the ability to encourage each other when times are tough.

Its time for John McCain to fire his campaign. He can start with himself. |

The Juan McCain Truth File. "I have great respect for Al Gore." John McCain, October 2, 2008 FR Keywords: mccaintruthfile, mcqueeg, mcbama Please tag all relevant threads with the aforementioned keywords. This can be a very high-volume ping list at times. To join the ping list: FReepmail rabscuttle385 with the subject line add mccaintruthfile. (Stop getting pings by sending the subject line drop mccaintruthfile.) Republican Commissars Warning: By joining this ping list, you may be subjected to the delusional rants and ramblings of McCainiacs, of "moderate" Republicans, of pragmatic conservatives resigned to voting for the lesser of two Democrats, and of countless GOP shills who simply want to meet a new overlord. |

It is still worth the effort.Yes, but I will say that you are on the wrong track still.
I applaud your longevity, but Bless your heart, when you praise Ronald Reagan, Free Republic, and Rush Limbaugh, it shows me that you are still mired in the Republican vs. Democrat world view.
Take heart! There is more to this after all!
Keep looking, you'll find it.
ps; save your time and skip right over National Review, American Spectator, etc.
But I have given you a huge hint, it is something very similar.
