I think this whole “Schlep” is just a media event. I very much doubt that Jewish liberals, whose only connection to Judaism is they think they know what the word “schlep” means, will flock down to Florida in large numbers to persuade grandparents who have probably been voting Democrat since FDR was on the ballot.

Anyway, my parents live in California, and my mom is a Koolaid-drinking dem. My dad, a U.S. Navy vet, is voting for McCain.

I hate to break it to the author, but if Obama's elected, it won't be because of the Jewish vote. Even in Florida, where the Jewish population approaches 4%.
