McCain is and has been somewhat unstable at times. Every time he runs, there are some ex-congressmen who infer things about him without going into detail. Should one of these past incidents be detailed in depth, it would really hurt him and that is what I'm referring to. I don't know where or from whom it would come, but I have been leery about him for more than 20 years which is why I have never supported him.
The fact that he's not a Republican except in name, is also a issue, but with all this populism in the electorate, that issue does not seem to matter to anyone but a fiscal conservative republican or those who detest triangulation as a political core belief. That kind of person would be me.
