Who is Vera Baker?
Some people in Chicago claim she was Obamas Finance Director for his 2004 Senate campaign. FEC Senate campaign records show she was paid a pretty penny as Finance Director.
However, people familiar with Obamas 2004 Senate campaign say Claire Serdiuk was Obamas Finance Director. Looking through everything we can see online for that 2004 campaign, Claire Serdiuk is consistently listed as the Finance Director - because thats what she was.
Theres no mention of Vera Baker
but Vera Baker was paid as the Finance Director too.
And then, suddenly, Vera Baker was relocated to New York.
Right around the time Michelle Obama got incredibly angry about something. We know it was hard to tell, because Michelles angry about something on a good day
but this was EXTRA angry.
And then, even more suddenly, Vera Baker was relocated to the island of Martinique, where she remains.
We hear its lovely there. They get lots of sunshine on Sundays. Paradise. A lovely place to read between the lines and ask lots of questions. All reporters should go there and feel inspired.
Does anyone else get the impression the media doesnt want to report on people like Vera Baker until after the election and that both the Clinton and McCain campaigns have been unable to force them to do otherwise? Do you ever get the feeling reporters sit around, perhaps on top of piles of stories they choose not to report, asking each other, You dont really want McCain to win, do you?.
Of course they dont.
The piles make better chairs than stories. Were all so comfy!
Thats why youve never heard of Vera Baker
and most likely wont in the next three weeks.

That's what happened when Muthoni Wambu and Vera Baker, both African-American women, set up their own fundraising shop, Baker Wambu & Associates, in 2000. Though it was never its owners' intention, Baker Wambu soon found itself a top fundraising firm for the Congressional Black Caucus. Their only non-black clients were Reps. Mike Honda (D-Hawaii) and Louise McIntosh Slaughter (D-N.Y.). Not a single white male politician linked up with the firm in its five years. "We didn't aim to be (a strictly CBC firm) at all. But we started to look and say, 'Huh, that's a good committee, that's a big deal.' ... A lot of CBC members were really open to having a firm like ours raise money for them," said Wambu, now deputy political director for Delaware Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr.'s Democratic presidential campaign. "In many ways, they were overlooked as resources. Businesses hadn't pitched to them."

Sorry I don't know how to activate links. She seems to VIP to be hiding out in the islands or retired from politics.

It's serious from a character standpoint. From a political standpoint, there is indeed the risk of backlash per your insinuation.
With all the other shady activity surrounding this character, incl. matters of national security concern (Odinga anyone?), there's no reason to go pedal-to-the-medal on the Vera Baker flap.

If you go to GoDaddy and type in her domain name, you can get the WHOIS information. It has her phone number and email address, although I won't publish them here.

I don’t think that has anything to do with anything. In fact what is the fascination with the French guy? He has a realty company and probably other related business. But keep in mind the page you viewed is a generated page (pulls content based on search criteria).

I know. Its relevant if its part of a Money Laundering scheme. Which is what it smells like. Vera Baker is not just “the Other Woman”. There is a reason information about her is being scrubbed from the web. A close Business partner, with whom she is partnered in at least two business, and one with ties to France as a “Personal Trader” and real estate Broker... its possible. Certainly it smells bad.

Vera Baker was the name of a character played by Whoopie Goldberg, in a movie called “Rat Race”.

No worries. Just thought I was missing something... I have to wonder if Very wasn’t involved with all those untracked “Small” internet Donations. Her company Cape Caribbean appears to have been a front.

Interesting how the site blasted apart a few hours after this thread got legs.
Stay safe.

I explained that “personal trader” is just a bad translation. I doubt she’s involved in any money laundering. She’s an ingenue whose forte seemed to be finagling her way into grant money and work she may or may not have been qualified for. Just one more libtard gaming the system. They just wanted anyone who could possibly put a bad light on Obama out of the picture, so she was just one of many that went under the bus.

Even then, it will be a non-starter with most people who are leaning Obama A non-starter if it wasn't being added on to a huge list of other things. You know, the proverbial straw that can break a camel's back.

say go for it. Anybody brave enough to go to Martinique and start turning over rocks? Better bring a video camera along so that the evidence remains. With those wicked Dems you never know just how long someone stays alive.
