God, we have violated your laws and we have killed your precious children by the millions. We deserve justice. We deserve Your wrath. But, Lord, we turn back to You and beg for mercy. Lord, have mercy on America.
Respectfully, “we” haven’t “killed children by the millions.” I think a more appropriate prayer would be that we who believe abortion is wrong to find ways to persuade others of the right or our beliefs. I do not accept the sins of others, and they do not accept my sins. We all rely on mercy and forgiveness.
We are not an evil nation, and I don’t believe that as a nation, we deserve to be punished. We are a nation made up of good people and bad people. I pray that the good people will reassert themselves and, with God’s blessings, create a nation that exists and succeeds within His laws.
