John McCain's campaign and the Republican National Committee plan to spend "upwards of $160 million" in the final weeks of the presidential race, according to a senior McCain adviser.
This will represent a massive counter-attack to combat Barack Obama's lopsided spending advantage to date.
The McCain adviser told FOX News that, while Obama is outspending them in all but two of 14 battleground states, "that will change over the last four weeks."
As national and battleground state polls show McCain trailing Obama consistently, McCain is urging voters not to count him out.
"In case you missed it, this is about the seventh or eighth time that pundits have said 'McCain's campaign is in trouble,'" he told Wisconsin voters Thursday. "We fooled them then and we will fool them again."

He’s got some powerful ads in the can, we’ve seen them on youtube, I’m sure they will be part of the barrage.
I hope they run at least one or two commercials on Sarah Palin’s accomplishments in Alaska that have been entirely ignored by the MSM — the line-item vetoes of spending items, the gas pipeline, her turning in two high-ranking Republicans for corruption, her 80% approval ratings, and so on.

I have at least 3 wealthy doctors on my street who are scared sh*tless about Obama. I am sure they have their checkbooks out. All three have McCain signs. Only one had Bush signs back in 2000 and 2004. You know there are wealthy Repubs getting their checkbooks out too.
The NRA makes every dollar count. I just double checked it and yes the NRA will be spending $40 million. It was in a CBS story.
The group has 4 million members who are the most motivated voters on the planet - bar none.
REMEMBER, McCain and his camp have always said they think that people make up their mind in the LAST 3 DAYS.
Our message will be heard, people will know about Barack Hussein Obama by the time we get to the voting booth. 160 Million guarantees that.

I also heard Obama’s people are sitting on their hands in his Pennsylvania offices, not a lot of excitement about Obama from the “bitter clingers”.
$200M from McCain/RNC/NRA plus all the millions of dollars that will be spent by the 527s and PACs over 3 weeks? That's basically a nuclear strike of ads. I'm optimistic.
I was saying earlier in response to reports of McCain being outspent 3 to 1... McCain is keeping his powder dry until he can see the whites of their eyes...
It is nervous time of course, but as a I recall, Bob Dole did just the opposite.. spent all his money too quickly and was broke in the final weeks.

Thanks. People can say what they want but we have the best Navy in the world. McCain’s family comes from a long line of “salts” or “squids.” The Navy also has some very bright people.

We are going to see a broke Obama campign begging Soros for dough. The Clintons finishing off Barry. Obama humiliated them. Mr. Berg proving Barry is an illegal alien. Campaign donation fraud. Rezko singing his tune. My guess is Obama could get indicted. I would like to see him deported too.
People can say what they will about the GOP and Repubs but they can be as ruthless as anybody when they need to be. Obama has pissed off a lot of people. Obama has screwed with the natural order of the universe here with his thuggery (not his skin tone).
I think karma is about to swing Barry’s way. Bill and Hillary are looking for payback.
If this plays out the way I think it will play out, this is going to be one hell of a show.
I feel sorry for good and decent African-Americans who tied their hopes up in this guy. I have a friend and he is the most honest and honorable person I know. I have been avoiding him because he is for Obama. He has been quiet about it but I saw the sticker on his car. I will have to dodge him until after the election.
