McCain Camp, RNC To Spend $160 Million In Final Weeks

John McCain's campaign and the Republican National Committee plan to spend "upwards of $160 million" in the final weeks of the presidential race, according to a senior McCain adviser.

This will represent a massive counter-attack to combat Barack Obama's lopsided spending advantage to date.

The McCain adviser told FOX News that, while Obama is outspending them in all but two of 14 battleground states, "that will change over the last four weeks."

As national and battleground state polls show McCain trailing Obama consistently, McCain is urging voters not to count him out.

"In case you missed it, this is about the seventh or eighth time that pundits have said 'McCain's campaign is in trouble,'" he told Wisconsin voters Thursday. "We fooled them then and we will fool them again."

I have no doubt we’ll win this election and my faith has never wavered since Palin was put on the ticket.

Larry—

David Brooks seemed to me to make a good case that the gay marriage referenda didn’t make the difference for Bush. Have you seen his stuff, and if so, what’s your take. Mine at the time was that he made sense, because Michigan and Oregon both rejected Bush and gay marriage resoundingly.

MI and OR aren't OH. The evangelicals came out soundly here. My point is that every state has its own down-ticket issues that McCain could tap into. Maybe its gay marriage in FL, something else in OH. (In 2006, I'm convinced one of the main draws for Dems to come to the polls was the smoking ban).

And after Brooks' comments on Palin, I take nothing he has to say seriously.

At this point McCain looks limp and done in. That is the primary reason he is behind. He DOES NOT want it. No eye of the tiger. As far as eating crow you can check. I predicted this back in February.

Uh, about your crow eating I was talking about... could you pass the tabasco and pepper? KthanksBy
