John McCain's campaign and the Republican National Committee plan to spend "upwards of $160 million" in the final weeks of the presidential race, according to a senior McCain adviser.
This will represent a massive counter-attack to combat Barack Obama's lopsided spending advantage to date.
The McCain adviser told FOX News that, while Obama is outspending them in all but two of 14 battleground states, "that will change over the last four weeks."
As national and battleground state polls show McCain trailing Obama consistently, McCain is urging voters not to count him out.
"In case you missed it, this is about the seventh or eighth time that pundits have said 'McCain's campaign is in trouble,'" he told Wisconsin voters Thursday. "We fooled them then and we will fool them again."

That is significant. Monetarily, yes, but only significant to the McCain/Palin cause if he uses it to expose the Obammy the Marxist for who he is.....

REMEMBER, McCain and his camp have always said they think that people make up their mind in the LAST 3 DAYS. IMHO, it would be a really, really good idea if McCain bought a 30 minute primetime block on all the major networks on 11/3/2008.

160 Million is a LOT of wood. Sounds great, but I can't help but wonder....
Is this $160 million pre-credit or post-credit crisis money.

The RNC ads I’ve seen the last couple days in Northeast Indiana are doing just that.

Bad economy, discounts on advertising, that money’s worth another 20%.

HA HA HA! Americans want somebody that will fight for them. At this point McCain looks limp and done in. That is the primary reason he is behind. He DOES NOT want it. No eye of the tiger. As far as eating crow you can check. I predicted this back in February.

The RNC ads Ive seen the last couple days in Northeast Indiana are doing just that. Awesome! I suppose we're not seeing it here in Tennessee because McCain will easily carry this state. We've got a close State House race where a Conservative is about to unseat a long time, corrupt 'Rat and another seriously viable Conservative running for the 4th District Congressional seat. I think he a better than even chance at being elected to the House.
McCain can do wonders for his campaign if he'll confront Obammy with all his shady ties in the upcoming debate and it won't cost a dime.....

last three days is pointless if Obama has used early voting to bank the votes.

Does that mean a prime time block?
Actually, the McCain campaign doesn't even have to spend any cash in order to get an hour on a network. All McCain needs to do is to agree to be "interviewed" for an hour, along with Sarah, on "Fox News Sunday". If Obama cries foul, then he too should get an hour. But, Obama-Biden, and McCain-Palin, should expect to be interviewed by a panel of reporters/commentators. In a sense, those hours would end up being another kind of "debate".
FOX should go ahead and make the offers.

How much does Obama have ready to go?
I doubt they have any limit.
Even if all they had left was 200 or 300 million left to spend, and they needed another 200 million in order to remain ahead or competitive, the Obama campaign wouldn't be stopped by the "shortfall". They'll go into heavy debt if they had to. Remember, with a communist/socialist, the end justifies the means. No cost is too high.
