John McCain's campaign and the Republican National Committee plan to spend "upwards of $160 million" in the final weeks of the presidential race, according to a senior McCain adviser.
This will represent a massive counter-attack to combat Barack Obama's lopsided spending advantage to date.
The McCain adviser told FOX News that, while Obama is outspending them in all but two of 14 battleground states, "that will change over the last four weeks."
As national and battleground state polls show McCain trailing Obama consistently, McCain is urging voters not to count him out.
"In case you missed it, this is about the seventh or eighth time that pundits have said 'McCain's campaign is in trouble,'" he told Wisconsin voters Thursday. "We fooled them then and we will fool them again."

tell me about this Karl Rove Pac money.....I hadn’t heard....
McCain has to realize that mail in ballots are going to be out very soon....he needs to start hitting hard right now....NOW....
I hope they don’t use John McCain voice-over telling us how great Obama is. /s
” ...The NRA never loses and protects our rights better than any other organization in the USA...” I am hearing anecdotal reports that gun shops are packed. No kidding. Several have seriously advised stocking ammo. Rumor has it, Bambi will go after the ammo first.
this election is not about race.....God knows how much money I've sent to Micheal Steele and Deb Honeycutt, and I still have my letter from Powell after I wrote him many years ago about running for President.....
but "color" being what it is ...a sacred cow of some sort....
I will say that it is entirely understandable that blacks would vote for barry soetoro....just like it would be understandable for Mormons to back Mitt, and Catholics to back JFK back in his day...
I agree that this election if far from over...McCain is going to stumble across the finish line holding on to Sarah's apron strings.....LOL.....
and I'll bet Sarah even bakes cookies....
You forgot the other 200 Million in the Rove PAC.
What’s Rove PAC?
Wow - inflatable skeet!
I'll pray for sunshine, to open up the mushy brains of those who would poison our wonderful country.....
LET THE SUNSHINE SHINE IN!
See post 25, jrooney made a couple of posts about it.
excellant!...direct and simple, to the point....
All are very good ads. I like the chicken button ad!

This is for all those who were afraid Obama’s ads were going “unanswered.” McCain’s strategy-—and we’ll see if it’s right-—is that people make up their minds later rather than sooner. He has risked a lot on a 72-hour blitz. I personally think he really only has to win two states-—CO and VA-—to win the election, but it’s clear from his campaigning that he must have numbers in IA, WI, and MN that say those are very close, too.
Well, when you start spending about 100 Million a week I think you can bring a LOT of states into play, why would McCain have 71 offices in CA if he didn’t think he had a chance.
Acorn is a no go.
ODINGA is where you want to put your money during the last few weeks.
We’ll see if Corsi blows the lid off Odinga tomorrow, I’ve been all over Odinga too. I think that 8 minute video will scare the pants off of anyone who hasn’t drunk deeply of the Kool-Aid.
What I really would like to see is a SEA OF DOUBT, Wright, Ayers, Odinga, Acorn.... After all that stuff is thrown against the wall, how many Reagan Democrats do you see Obama getting?
I have NEVER seen so many democrat grass roots efforts against the dem candidate, you can find a ton of them in seconds. How many grass roots Republican efforts are out there for Obama - NONE.
The polls are propaganda, there are even polls just asking questions and then determining FOR YOU who you’re voting for. Wild oversamplings of democrats, etc.
Even with all the cooking of the polls Obama isn’t getting the level of support from his base that Gore or Kerry got, he’s a fatally flawed candidate. Throw a few hundred million out there and he’s a dead duck.
don't you dare! McCain fought for us, and now WE fight for him! he has rope-a-doped Bambi, and while Bambi has an inkling, his supporters are clueless.
I agree the $200 million will be a factor, but there’s another attack coming at nobama that few are paying attention to. And that’s the federal bureaucracy, including the justice department.
The federal bureaucracy is owned by the clintons. The federal bureaucrats are not interested in sharing power with the nobama thugs. What I’m seeing is that the nobama mob will destroy the golden taxpayer goose should they get into DC. Should that happen, the federal bureaucrats lose their money and power. They won’t allow that to happen. It’s anyone’s guess what happens if the federal government collapses.
There are attacks about to be launched from the clinton bureaucrats that will blow nobama out of the water.
Watch.
“Let us not forget, Karl Rove was given the keys to $200 million PAC money”
—really?
May as well flush the money down the crapper if he pulls another stunt like that.
