This whole thing has been overplayed. The hysteria by market players will calm down at some point, sanity will return and this market is going to take off.

Agreed. But. better than 10000.

I am banking on it.

Agree this is the ONLY way to go. Americans are afraid and anxious and angry. If you don’t connect with this and show how the Dems and Obama doesn’t know what he is doing to get us out of this...then you can’t connect.

voters who are afraid going into the voting booth STILL go for experience.

Call me crazy, but what if BamBam and his associates started setting this whole thing up say 6-8 years ago. Started by getting him into the senate. We know he did not do this without some really questionable help. Getting into the push for immoral acts in the mortgage banking, making a few $$ and setting him up for the Presidency, all the while knowing this administration would take the blame for the democrats dishonest, manipulation of our country. This financial meltdown is a great cover, distraction for the absolute truth about SHB and all of the shady people involved.

John McCain, Sara Palin, I don't care who does it, we have got to stop the insane stupidity, save these FOOLS who are being taken in by that one.

He will cause a catastrophic fall out in this country and we will likely become divided rapidly. It will ugly, unless of course WE ARE ALL WRONG ABOUT HIM. (RIGHT)
I have been sending links and the you tube stuff to the entire media email list all day.

Not surprisingly, Dick Morris has it exactly backwards, completely reversing cause and effect. The market is going down because the market fears that a socialist regime will take over the U.S. government, come January. Intrade says the likelihood of that is currently 77% (actually down slightly today).

A positive feedback loop has recently been in effect. In bad times, the party in power is generally punished. Despite the Democrat majority in both houses of Congress, the public has been led to believe that the Republicans are the "controlling power authority". As the Dow goes down, so do the prospects for the Republicans. And as the prospects for Republicans go down, so does the Dow.

The way to break this feedback loop is, somehow, to educate the public that the Democrats -- and Democrat ideology -- are responsible for the financial crisis.

Why does anyone listen to the “toe sucker”?

Beats me. I'm quite sure I'd get more prescient and accurate political analysis from some random guy living in an empty large appliance box underneath the interstate.

Everyone is angry. Its the Dems stupid redistribution gone mad agenda that has caused this crisis and uncertainty. McCain is going to win, because a 527 will smack Obama with Black Liberation Theology, but in the meantime it would be nice if McCain fights back and slams Obama and the Dems hard for what they have done.

Thank you!

At this point, I almost wish I had a sub-prime mortgage.

My home would be FREE!

But, I don’t wish that.
And, I wonder about those who do.

Or, alternatively, since McCain doesn't want to lose the statistically insignificant "Hispanic" support he thinks he has the Republican Party or an issue oriented 527 could put out an ad pointing out this difference. Right now, I McCain were to radically change his views on illegal immigration (and his "border security first" tack is probably as close as we'll get on this matter) he would once again be called for his "desperate" and "racist" change of heart.

Ah YES.. 14.5 percent of the voters in the US are HIspanic and 12.3 are Black. That means blacks and Hispanics make up 26.8 percent of the voters. If the Democrats get their vote they only need to get 32 percent of the white vote to win.

In other words McCain can win 68 percent of the white vote and still lose.

The media made illegal immigration the issue in the news because they knew that if the Demcrats could do as well with Hispanics as they did with blacks, no liberal Democrat could ever lose the presidency again. And Democrats could control the house and senate forever.

Bush won in 2004 because he got 35 percent of the hispanic vote. The way hispanics were changing parties by 2012 a majority of hispanics would be voting Republican. Once the Republican percent of Hispanic votes exceeded 40 percent there was no way for a Democrat to win.

But if the hipanic vote returned to the Democrats the same way blacks did, no Democrat could ever lose a race for the presidency.

So the media made the Mexican immigration the big issue and the Liberals are back in the drivers seat.

If you want to know who elected Obama president and why he totally opened the border to Mexicans, you should first look in the mirror. You’ll be looking at the person who fixed it so no Demcrat will ever fear losing again.

The question has never been will this nation become majority hispanic. The question was would hispanics be liberal or conservatives.

Don’t forget to take your spanish lessons. It will be the new national language by 2050.

CNBC ratings are through the roof. And, many of their commentators would suggest that you are leaving out a very important group, namely the “investor class.” More than 50% of all taxpayers are directly invested in the stock market. Look at the polling data in Florida. I saw one article suggesting that Obama was now competitive in GEORGIA.

McCain is losing the senior vote in Florida. I know two GOP life time supporters who have switched in the last few weeks. It is meaningless to talk about this thing on the edges. A tidal wave is forming and Morris is right. Unless there is a dramatic shift in the economic agenda prospects are dark.

Morris's columns are wrong about half the time. This time he is right, but it's so obvious I can't give him much credit.

We may get to $200/barrel oil if Obama wins and allows "some offshore drilling" while in fact stopping almost all of it.
