McCain has to play towards the UNCOMITTED 10% !!! And in case you hadn’t noticed, they are not rabid conservatives like us. They want someone who is NOT hysterically attacking Obama, but who keeps pointing out the doubt.

That was my first thought, too.. OR he might have felt Obama was helped by all of his "I agree with Senator McCain" moments at the debate.. All I know is.. We need him to make a case AGAINST OBAMA.. NOT FOR HIM! Even "Undecideds" know that!
