here’s the contact info:
http://www.house.gov/formjohnlewis/contact.html
I just called his “press emergency number” and spoke with Darren Johnson (404-895-7850) and referenced the above article with quotes....
I asked where I could find congressman Lewis’ comments on Obama saying he would bring a gun to a knife fight several months ago....his answer was he was not sure...
I then asked where I could find congressman Lewis’ comments on 0bama encouraging his supporters to get in the face of McCain supporters in Nevada just one month ago...he said “if those comments are true I am not sure”...
he then suggested I call Lewis’ media communications director in the DC office (he wanted to get off the phone)...her name is Brenda Jones...I will call her Monday or Tuesday, if the office is closed....
take a few minutes to make a call...
What does he mean by saying McCain “disregards the value of the political process”? Aren’t elections part of the political process? And aren’t we supposed to put candidates under the microscope lest the unworthy gain political power? I fail to understand how raising qualms about a candidate’s past and asking questions about a candidate’s character is somehow outside of the poltical process.
Normal folks are outraged at the conduct of the elected elites....and they wont turn over this great country. We will fight.
It’s been simmering for years now and no one paid attention....they are now.
The RATS are worried to be sure....McCain can drive home to the WH if enough people stand up. Then he can resign.
Let me get this straight:
Obambi actually exhorts his followers to “get in their face and get nasty.” And Obambi’s followers and campaign hangers-on actually threaten race riots is their man loses.
And McCain is being criticized for saying . . . Obambi is a decent family man?
Get real.
It is not that McCain doesn’t intend to go after Obama, he just doesn’t want supporters in the audience doing like that woman did yesterday and be saying Obama is an Arab. McCain knew this is what the backlash of that kind of thing would be and he tried to defuse it. Saying things like THAT are NOT helpful and this is the result of it. And last night I said this is what would happen.
McCain never intended to back off of Obama, just to do it in such a way as to try to avoid this kind of thing. Now can you imagine if a single incident happens.....??
Shout it from the mountaintops!
When is McCain going to wise up and quit praising the other side? I know the bible says turn the other cheek but he’s sticking his butt in the air and providing the axle grease for the enemy and they are using it. When is going to realize that these are not nice people. Some would make his NVA captors look like Saints.
"My Daddy may have abandoned me, true. But he gave me the one thing that has brought me to power. His gift allows me to call all of you racists if I don't get my way."
Dear Representative Lewis,
So just to get this through my poor thick brain, let me review with you.
We are supposed to go nicely away and not complain about getting screwed over by rampant voter fraud and just be pleasant, smile and accept whatever The Obama Buffet of Scandals...Ayers/Wright/ACORN/Khalidi/Rezco/Odinga/Sinclair/birth certificate fraud et al, pumps our way.
And any questioning or criticisms of Obama that we engage in, is automatically RACIST, is that right?
And if we do ask sort of itty bitty hard questions, we are inciting violence by that questioning, is that right?
So basically if violence were to break out at some point, that would be our fault too, because we were mean to ask, is that right?
Goody! Another episode for the media to flog us with!
Thanks Rep Lewis, sorry to be such a bother:-) just wanted to be clear.
He never gets around to telling us exactly what it is he takes such exception to.

McCain Offended by Lewis’ Comments; Calls On Obama to Condemn
October 11, 2008 3:12 PM
Clearly wounded by the remarks of Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., condemning the tone at his rallies, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., issued this statement a few minutes ago.
“Congressman John Lewis’ comments represent a character attack against Governor Sarah Palin and me that is shocking and beyond the pale,” McCain said. “The notion that legitimate criticism of Senator Obama’s record and positions could be compared to Governor George Wallace, his segregationist policies and the violence he provoked is unacceptable and has no place in this campaign.”
McCain continued, saying “I am saddened that John Lewis, a man I’ve always admired, would make such a brazen and baseless attack on my character and the character of the thousands of hardworking Americans who come to our events to cheer for the kind of reform that will put America on the right track.
“I call on Senator Obama to immediately and personally repudiate these outrageous and divisive comments that are so clearly designed to shut down debate 24 days before the election. Our country must return to the important debate about the path forward for America.”
Lewis is elected official, so just find out where and get your number..and POST IT HERE ...I AM SICK AND TIRED OF BLACKS INVOKING RACISM EVERY TIME IT LOOKS LIKE THEY MAY GET BEAT.
see post 41...there are plenty of numbers and names, one of whom I spoke with, along with my conversation....
take a few minutes and make the call...
Like the witch hunts in the 17th century, in which women were accused of all sorts of dire misdeeds?
Racism is the biggest and best tool they have and we fall for it everytime and we are doing it now.
I dont know about you folks, but Im thinking he’s predicting riots if his guy loses.
Anyone else getting that vibe?
Every single time McCain/Palin get something right, they are slammed as racists.
Ironically, their campaign is called racist for mentioning Obama's connections. He says they should talk about the economy intead. But when they talk about Fannie Mae which would necessarily include fired director Franklin Raines (black), according the Governor of NY, they are using "code words" and therefore are again racist. They are racist if they do, and racist if they don't, and it is always the Democrats bringing up the race issue.
simply because he is a socialist progressive Chicago organizer who has never had a place in American politics.
If J.C. Watts had run for President, you can bet the Congressional Black Caucus would loudly denounce him for a host of reasons, and would probably even call him "racist."
It would probably help his case if Obama's preacher of 20 years wasn't the worst sort of black nationalist racist you have ever heard.
It’s a typical election campaign, Congressman. You’re supposed to criticize your opponent. As you no doubt have done.
Thx, sorry for the typos but I typing on this little palm unit...
