Or maybe jump off the Bay Bridge, but that's not as glamorous. Or maybe even the San Mateo Bridge, but that would only work if you didn't know how to swim.

So now someone who want to commit suicide off the bridge has to make two jumps, one off the bridge, and a second off the net. Unless they were already converted to french fries.

What happens if someone tries to commit suicide by jumping off the suicide net? I guess they will have to put up a suicide net safety net.

Golden Gate Bridge officials vote for suicide netTalk about disappointment.
I thought they were going to set up something like a telephone tree to trigger a "lemming event".
Maybe next time.

Bridges don’t kill people. People jumping off bridges kill people. Well, at least liberals in this instance are consistent. I’m surprised they didn’t vote to close the bridge (to be really consistent with their position on guns).

At least its Dolphin safe. The 49ers are playing at Miami this year, so they really didn't need to worry about that for a while.

This is the funniest thread ever. LOL!
(However, I recently saw a GG Bridge documentary about suicides, included real footage of suicides, very sad.)

The first thought I had after seeing the story about the mesh net was: Just in time for the elections.

Im surprised they didnt vote to close the bridgeActually, I'm surprised they didn't vote to tear the bridge down. That's the lib solution for any river dam that harms a single fish.
To: CounterCounterCulture
for a sanctuary city socialist utopia there sure is a lot of people throwing themselves off bridges.

Im surprised they didnt vote to close the bridgeNah, they get too much revenue from it. San Francisco doesn't need a steel net -- it needs a big butterfly net.

Nets? They can't risk losing any democrats?
If they have any material left over, better send it to Wall Street.
