When I read the multiple posts, on this page and others, that say something like: “Hey, calm down now!” or: “Stop over-dramatizing this!”, I have to wonder if these “cooler heads” really know something, or if they are just in heavy denial of the sad political reality re: Juan McNUTS, or if they are D.U. and/or Daily Kos lurker types, trying to lull us into a false sense of “Hey, don’t worry! That self-inflicted wound isn’t so bad—why, it’s just a minor flesh wound, so don’t worry, be happy!” /super sarcasm off.
No, we are not DU’ers. We are trying to make people realize that he is running for President of the United States - not for Bill O’Reilly’s job.
I would like to see more from McCain - but unless he tries to control his crowd he will merely be cast as a riot enabler, race baiter, whatever.
We have to be respectful and some people get out-of-hand and cause more damage than help.
I am against catering to how things will play in the media - but, we have to in a presidential campaign. Look at how they are treating the Palin report.
McCain can steadily and thoughtfully bring up Obama’s associations, the reasons he will not be effective as president. And the ads can be the way to handle it.
