Why are candidates not vetted when running for office, at least to see if they are constitutionally qualified to run for office?
GOOD GRIEF. I had to produce valid birth certificates, 2 proofs of residence, and all immunization records to get my kids enrolled in school!!! How on earth does one get to run for POTUS without producing those records FIRST. FIRST—before being allowed to be called a candidate.

Yes, apparently one does not even have to present an official copy of one’s birth certificate to run. Why do we have a Federal Elections Commission, whatever?
Because we run POTUS on the “honor system.”
