RE: “god I’m sick to my stomach. I’ve sent in money, I have the signs in the yard, I’ve talked to family, friends and acquaintances about the importance of this election, and McCain just threw it away with both hands.”

How is McCain telling someone in a crowd not to be afraid of Obama a ringing endorsement? Whether an Obama “plant” or not, the media is watching — from what I read, McCain added something like “I believe I can do a much better job” than Obama (or similar quote).

Is this great? No. But devastating? I don’t think so. Lots of people watching TV out there around the country are not so invested in this election as the hardcore supporters on both sides, following every website and radio show nonstop. A fair number would think a nasty remark about Obama to be over the top and way too distasteful.

All McCain can do is pay attention to what he’s hearing and then react. I don’t think McCain’s comments on this will make much difference one way or the other.

He said he is a decent man, and they should not be scared of him being president.
ARE YOU KIDDING? And to say the same about 0bama’s supreme court nominations? Don’t be afraid, McCain said.

UGH.. I did calm down from my mini meltdown earlier, now I’m fired back up...I should have stayed out of this thread.
lol

Well, the whole.......we don’t like McCain very much because he’s a socialist but we have to get him elected because of how dangerous an Obama Presidency would be........has all been based on FEAR. Based on how very SCARY an Obama Presidency would be. Now, either that is true or it is not........which is it? Who is right? I hate much of what Obama stands for. The idea that he is more of a socialist or more of a big govt spender than McCain though is laughable.

Name one program McCain has mentioned that he would cut. Saying that he is against “pork” or that he will make cuts across the board do not count. That is Democrat talk for cutting spending increases. For instance, spending for a program has been going up by 4% a year, but under him, the spending increase will be cut down to 3% a year. That is not a cut. Democrats use that tactic to accuse Republicans of cutting programs all the time. McCain won’t name one specific program that he would cut. None of them ever do and people fall for the same old BS every time.
