Senator Elizabeth Dole, says it "infuriates" her to think about how that could have prevented what eventually happened." We're all hearing experts(and Obama) saying it is because of a lack of regulation. The Washington Post prints it. If you're mad and could have done something, GET YOUR message out there. Guess what, it will probably get worse if you don't get the message out.

This is what happens when Republicans “go along to get along” and forget the reason they were elected to go to Washington. They’ll get blamed anyway and the Lamestream media will hate them, so why not just do the right thing to start with?

It’s the Dems’ fault but much of the public is blaming the Republicans. I’ll have to include this in my letter to the editor. Too many U.S.A. citizens just don’t seem to understand what happened.

This is the NUMBER ONE ISSUE... the BOMBSHELL that could destroy democrats in this election. WHY... is McCain still pushing ACORN and AYERS when he could close the deal with this fannie mae business??
True... ACORN and AYERS damage Obama... but FANNIE MAE DESTROYS THEM ALL. Democrats have been caught RED HANDED with their HANDS IN THE COOKIE JAR and we're not pushing that 24/7??

Republicans tried to move legislation five years ago to rein in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac but Democrats blocked their efforts and it "infuriates" her to think about how that could have prevented what eventually happened. Hear hear, Liz. But do you know what also infuriates me? The fact that the GOP (and McCain, in particular) hasn't been raising holy hell about this fact during the campaign. Most of the electorate believes that the financial crisis is a direct result of "Bush's policies," having no idea that the Dems repeatedly blocked Republican efforts to rein in Fannie/Freddie. Unless they're made aware of the facts SOON, Obama will win. ...and we'll all lose. So there has to be an all-out concerted effort along these lines, not just an occasional mention.
