These polls are not measuring how mad the conservative base is and how anti-Obama they are. The secret the media will not tell you is when the conservative base stays home, Dems win. When the conservative base goes out and votes, Dems lose.

The media saw this election in the bag when they were able to get their nominee in there John McCain and then he picked Palin and the plan started to unravel. Obama is being found out on who he is at the end of this election and conservatives are livid (see McCain's rally yesterday Anger Is Crowd's Overarching Emotion at McCain Rally . If conservatives continue this emotion until the end of this election, McCain will win.

That's exactly right. If turnout mirrors 2004, McCain/Palin win. The only way Obama/Biden have a realistic chance is if the media and Democrats convince enough conservatives it's hopeless and already over. And they're having a bit of success, judging by some folks on this forum. But I don't think it'll be enough.
