She probably didn't want him around when she was "courting" for a second husband, that behavior alone would have been very upsetting to a young Muslim boy whose views on the proper behavior of a woman already etched into his mind.

Obama was not a "young Muslim boy" when his mother was "courting" his step father, Soetero. Obama accompanied his parents to Indonesia when he was age 6. That was his first real exposure to Islam. He left Indonesia when he was 10 years old.

6-10 is not a ‘young muslim boy?’ what about the time spend with his origional father from birth to-? Doesn’t count?
