Yes, it’s definitely a lie, but the Republicans don’t as yet have anyone effectively refuting the lies and telling the real story.

McCain and Palin made a so so start today, but still need to sharpen and expand their stump speeches to include the real causes of the financial crisis, which is still volatile and constantly in the news.

"The Woods Fund report makes it clear Obama was fully aware of the intimidation tactics used by ACORN's Madeline Talbott in her pioneering efforts to force banks to suspend their usual credit standards. Yet he supported Talbott in every conceivable way. He trained her personal staff and other aspiring ACORN leaders, he consulted with her extensively, and he arranged a major boost in foundation funding for her efforts." [NYPost]

This was out before the VP debate, but the campaign dont want to touch it. I hope it is because they are sitting on something so big that they are content with just winding down the clock.

“This was out before the VP debate, but the campaign dont want to touch it. I hope it is because they are sitting on something so big that they are content with just winding down the clock.”

And Stanley Kurtz, who’s been going through the Annenburg Project files at the U. of Illinois Chicago, has found information that also ties Obama to ACORN and Madeline Talbott during the early days of bank intimidation. He was on the Bill Bennett radio show this morning.

The McCain campaign and surrogates better get the truth out about this. And it is even more timely now that ACORN is being investigated in ten or so for states fraudulent new voter registrations. There are basic facts that are irrefutable. All Obama can do is lie about them, as he’s been doing and getting away with it for a couple of weeks now.
