I’m not sure why it’s a big deal if Obama knew about Ayers’ past. It’s a safe bet that Ayers didn’t turn into a conservative but continued to be a radical leftist. The question should be why Obama associated with such a person in the first place - he had to be aware of his current views if not his criminal past - and why someone like Ayers was allowed to be involved with “educational issues” in Chicago in the first place. Or is it expected that mad bombers determine how children are taught in Illinois schools?
