AIM Boycotts The New York Times over Liberal Bias
Accuracy in Media ^ | October 8, 2008 | Accuracy in Media

Posted on 10/09/2008 1:17:14 PM PDT by AIM Freeper

WASHINGTON, October 8, 2008—Accuracy in Media announced today the launch of its new website, Boycott The New York Times (http://BoycottNYT.com). AIM, which has monitored The New York Times for nearly 40 years, is encouraging news consumers to boycott the most powerful media voice in America to protest its persistent leftist bias.

“The Times has, over the course of decades, blatantly distorted the news to advance an ideological agenda,” notes Don Feder, the editor of the Boycott The New York Times website. “The Times’ persistent bias is reflected in its double standard in coverage of liberals and conservatives, its misreporting of election news, the hidden assumptions that underlie news stories and in the palpable imbalance in commentary. While The Times is notorious for editorials thinly disguised as ‘news coverage,’ during a presidential election, its fangs really come out.”

They should sue. As should everyone to the right of Thurgood Marshall.

showing my age here

Dear Olderthandirt,
I thought the same, but I'm not nearly as old as you. Go ahead and ask my friends, Wilbur and Orville.

IMO, patriotic Americans should be called upon to boycott the sponsors of all these Leftist media schmucks including Liberals like Letterman who has been trashing Bush for eight years and now McCain and Palin are trashed every night. Personally, I sick of these examples of human waste using their multi-millionaire jobs for Marxist propaganda and that includes the Hollyweird traitors.

"we’re only three clicks away from having a voice over leftist-media!"

Welcome to FR.

In fact, exposing the leftist media is the reason FR began even before I signed up. Perhaps some old timers can add more than my few reminiscences here.

I remember a FReeper, at least 10 years ago, who split the screen. He had a MSM article on one side and destroyed the bias on the other.

FR destroyed so much of NYT, LA Times, etc. bias, they sued FR for copywrite infringement. That's why we can only excerpt them or only post a URL link.

Once FR exposed MSM lies they altered their online articles without printing retractions in their papers.

There was a former NYT editor who monitored the NYT errors and bias daily with his own website. AIM's idea is not new.

The internet has long been the alternative to bias print.

It’s interesting how these retards do no think their politics will hit their own bottom line! Networks will not pay people 10-50 million dollar contracts if advertisers know nobody is going to be watching.....
