Hell, we might as well demand our $700,000,000,000 back since it isn’t helping at all. To look on the bright side, I doubt much of that has been "spent." I would imagine discussions are still going on as to where and how to spend it.

We didn’t get into this mess in 2 weeks and we aren’t going to get out of it in 2 weeks. Kind of like you don’t get fat overnight....you aren’t going to lose it overnight. Be patient.

That's because they haven't paid over a dime of it yet.
The treasury is talking about direct help to banks in a few weeks time, maybe even by the end of the month.
We will be lucky if there are any banks open at the end of the month, if they keep dithering like this.
