Clintons to attend Scranton rally with Biden
Times Leader (Wilkes-Barre PA) ^ | 10/8/08 | Times Leader Staff

Bill and Hillary Clinton will join Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden at a Barack Obama campaign rally Sunday in Scranton.

The former president and current New York senator are expected to address the failed economic policies and how Barack Obama and Biden will work to help ordinary families, according to a campaign press release.

Biden and Sen. Hillary Clinton have strong ties to the area. Biden was born in Scranton and lived in the city’s Green Ridge section until his family moved to Delaware when he was 10. Hillary Clinton’s father, the late Hugh Rodham, was a Scranton native.

The Clintons will attend the baptism of Simon Rodham, son of the senator’s brother, Tony Rodham, Sunday at the Court Street United Methodist Church. No additional details have been announced.

God luv em!

Seriously, Biden was in Wilkes-Barre several weeks ago, and a neighbor who attended told me that there were no more than 200 people attending, INCLUDING the press. It says a lot that Biden needs the Clintons to show up, so that it could be spun that the crowd in Scranton was huge.

Taking bets on who says something worse? Biden making a gaffe or a Clintoon propping up McCain/Palin?

2-1 odds your choice, I'll take the other plus I get 4-2 odds if both happen? Any takers? :oP

I am watching Palin speaking in Bethlehem, PA. The place is packed, standing room only!

Are they taping a special edition of “The Office”? Will Biden be playing the Dwight Schrute character, or the Michael Scott character?

You and I both know the polls are cooked. It all boils down to the final poll (voting) and how successful the Dems are at their usual voter fraud (ESPECIALLY in Philth-adelphia).

This must be killing the Clintons. They hate Barry. Imagine all the things they know and cannot talk about. I have to say at this point I would rather have Hillary as potus than Barry. I cannot believe I just said that.

Perhaps the Clintons will be unavoidably detained at the Rodham baptism for some reason and have no more than a quick minute to spend with Biden on the stump. Yes, this has got to be killing Hillary —

I, too, wish she was the Dems candidate.

“Imagine all the things they [Clintons]know and cannot talk about.”

Well, they might not be able to talk about it, but I’m absolutely certain, they’re going to whisper in John’s ear.

Pretty sad, but I feel the same way. It’s all relative, I guess....

She can still run again in 2012. As a Republican.

That’s hard to believe. Al Gore nor John Kerry cracked 51% of the vote in PA (Gore was at 50.6% and Kerry at 50.9%). Obama may be ahead in PA, but you know and I know he’s not winning that state by 15%.

Let me add that I saw the same poll you did, and that’s what I find hard to believe. I’m not coming after you, just the polling.

Wonder if they plan on having lunch at Kate's* cafe to connect with the local common folk?

*Kate's cafe has been closed since 1980.
