Do we know who put ACORN in the first bailout bill?

The Treasury is setting up a market that just clears these things. Everybody sells to the Treasury in the case of the default the Treasury pays once.

.
Thanks, is this one of the details Pelosi, Reid and Bush should have explained?

I do like to hear Hillary and Obama attacking each other.

This is something I have always wanted to know about any bill. Is there a way to determine which pork was added by what legislator?

At least you've come to your senses.

I don't necessary like McCain as a candidate much more. However, I cannot live with the thought of Obama unchecked for four years even if it means voting for McCain. At least McCain has proven me wrong a few times - in a good way. No surprise from Obama will be good.

At the moment, I suspect a 1% or less nationwide McCain win from the sampling in the polls versus the normal turnout rates. McCain should be blowing this fool away.

Could a President Obama (shudder) nominate Bill Ayers for the SCOTUS?

"I sure hope Rush is right and that Americans are becoming aware of the Obama-Ayers relationship."

Oh, he is. By the time we're done, no one will be able to pretend that he doesn't know exactly who and what the people behing Obama are.

Anyone still supporting Obama by November will be doing it because they're completely in agreement with the agenda of the people who hate America, and we will know exactly who they are.

The lamest part of the debate was the moderator.

Post #57 talked of Sallie Mae earlier;

Credit default swap continued from post #37

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/10/02/AR2008100203890_2.html

For Sallie Mae, the annual cost of purchasing a credit-default swap insurance policy has roughly doubled in the past week to $1.6 million for every $10 million in bonds, according to Bloomberg. That price, according to Bloomberg, suggests a 74 percent chance that Sallie Mae will default on its debts within five years.

Yesterday Sallie Mae’s chief executive Albert L. Lord sought to fight off the perception that his firm was on shaky ground. He said in a SEC filing that the firm is “liquid and well capitalized.” He cited a new program put in place by the Education Department that not only guarantees the loans, but also directly funds them.

With the federal government behind the firm, Sallie Mae is reducing its reliance on private lenders to raise money to issue student loans.

Mark Kantrowitz, publisher of FinAid, a Web site that provides financial advice for students, said he did not understand why Sallie Mae’s credit-default swaps soared this week. But the firm faces problems, he said.

The rising cost of borrowing because of the turmoil in the credit markets is squeezing its profits. If these rates continue to stay high, he said, Sallie Mae may struggle to pay its debts.

Followed by legions of lawyers descending on every state he wins to try to overturn the election.

McCain should be blowing this fool away. He's certainly a less-than-optimal campaigner. And assuming he wins, we conservatives will have to remind each other for the next four years, as he enacts much of the Democrats' agenda, that it could have been much worse.

Yeah, supposedly there's a proposal to put bills on the internets in real time that shows who put what pork in.

I think that would be a wonderful deterrent. As of now though I don't think you can find out until the bill passes.

Apparently CNN chose 38 Dims and 31 Republicans for their debate effect panel. Afterward, they touted the 54% for Obama as a win. 54% of 69 is 37 (rounding up). Apparently Obama lost one of the Dims.

FR is like my support group. :) I wanted to get on so badly last night after the debate, but hubby prefers I not FReep on "work nights" *L* Unfortunately, after this election, I may have to FReep far more than I do now, just to be able to function on a daily basis.

Jack Cashill has done extensive research and believes that Ayers actually wrote “Dreams” and not obammy.

http://www.cashill.com

The really sad part is, Ayres is a very talented writer. Too bad he’s not a good human being.

What a refreshing glimpse into reality. Percentages always look better than actual numbers. I wonder if that lone Dem was a PUMA? ;)
