We have a BIG - LOUD dog. She loves to bark and lunge at the door. Only I know she only wants to lick them to death. Shhhhhh.
My late border collie taught the other dogs that the proper response to the doorbell was to bark furiously, bare teeth, and fling yourself at the little windows on either side of the front door.
The 125 pound yellow Lab made quite a lot of noise, but the idea of him being vicious is absurd.
However, I had one of those little slips from the Post Office that they leave when they try to deliver Certified Mail.
