Why? I think McCain should start beating that horse, as well as Obama's connection to ACORN. If the economy's beating McCain then McCain should be showing how Obama helped create the wreck.
OH HELL YA!
Please see #63.
The late turn in the polls may be an early indicator that the "it's the republican's fault" line isn't going to stick. Too early to say, but maybe.
I hope McCain is aggressive, but I don't think this is the venue to dive into all the Ayers/Wright stuff. It is the perfect venue to get fierce on Fannie/Freddie. McCain has an opportunity here to change some minds on who's responsible for this mess and he needs to jump on it-- all the while making sure that he looks like the most sober and thoughtful person in the room and the right one to lead on the economy for the next few years.
While I don't think this is the place to get mean and negative, exactly, I think there probably is some way to still get under Obama's skin. It would be hysterical if he could somehow get Obama to lose his composure. I think it's possible. Obama has ~never~ been in a race this close, and he doesn't think on his feet very well. McCain does. If he can just, as they say, get inside the OODA loop, pounce on any mistakes that Obama makes and get him on the defensive... then... Obama could lose his cool.
and THAT, ladies and gentlemen... would be worth the price of admission all by itself.
