SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - As a state senator, Democrat Barack Obama awarded $75,000 in government grants to a Chicago social service organization led by a rabbi who is also his wife's cousin, records show. ADVERTISEMENT In 1999, Obama arranged for $50,000 for adult literacy and counseling services offered on Chicago's South Side by a group called Blue Gargoyle. A $25,000 grant for the group's youth services followed the next year. The group's executive director when the grants were awarded was Capers Funnye, a South Side rabbi and Michelle Obama's first cousin once removed. Funnye (pronounced fun-NAY) said Monday there was nothing improper about the way Blue Gargoyle obtained the grants.

Nothing to see here. Just like his “garden to nowhere” and his grants to that Ayers guy who he didn’t know anything about.
Is this story part of the Saturday Nght Live program?
Funny how something like this won’t even register as a scandal these days.
fun-NAY mon-EY. Sorry that joke wrote itself!
Another recipient of Barry O’s earmarks is being investigated for misuse of funds. They had received thousands to start a botanical garden; to date, there is no garden. Can someone find this article?
Look...the mainstream media is trying to turn a “negative” story into a feel-good, benevolent, Robin Hood-esque type story that he was robbing the rich to give to the poor...
This is a backhanded complement, note the non-mention of the garden to nowhere, Michelle’s salary, Annenberg Challenge...
Well with all the dirty money that has flowed through Zero’s hands an crAP finds a Rabbi to talk about. Things that make you go Hmmm!
This is not the kind of rabbi that eats lox and bagels, if you catch my drift. The AP does not make that clear. He belongs to one of those “Ethiopian” synagogues on the South Side of Chicago.

He is from one of those “black hebrew” cults that says they’re the lost tribe of Israel and claims that Jewish people are not “true” Jews.
``The Scriptures tell us the children of Israel lived 400 years in Egypt, which is in Africa,'' Funnye said. ``Therefore, there must have been Jews who looked like Africans.''Source: The Oregonian (Portland, Oregon) October 8, 1994Funnye joined other like-minded blacks in a congregation in the Englewood neighborhood. When its rabbi died a few years ago, Funnye became the spiritual leader of the group, which traces its lineage to Chicago's first black rabbi, who arrived in the city in 1913. Other black Jewish congregations had merged into it. So just like the synagogue on South Houston Street, Funnye's group, which includes 40 families, carries a composite name: Beth Shalom B'nai Zaken Ethiopian Hebrew Congregation.
Just mere chance. One out of millions. Got a minute? I want to show you a bridge I’ve got for sale.
Saw this over at DUmmy land. They think that this is exactly what they needed to win Florida. OMG The One has a JEW in the family!!! See, he ain’t skeery...he has a rabbi as a relative!!
