“I’ve been adding keywords to threads I see without them as well, as I’m sure many have also been doing.”

I’m glad that you do, I am only now catching on to what keywords are.

Will you give me a simple explanation of what they are and their purpose?

When you post a thread, you have a space for topics
... news/activism, constitution/conservatism. politics/elections, etc. and keywords, in addition to the other blank spaces for the author, date, source, and url link, etc.

Keywords can (and hopefully do) link to the ‘popular keywords’ at the top of the front page, and are active links to the articles using those keywords.

You’re not limited to just those posted keywords at the top (as you’ll note when you check out the various threads), but those are determined to the most used currently.

They help immeasurably when you’re looking for threads about a specific topic ... especially now and going on into the rest of this election cycle, when the news and threads will be increasing exponentially.
