AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, Doctor of Democracy. A Real Man, a Living Legend, a Way of Life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

We love to hear Rush Limbaugh,

‘Gut check’ -— I remember when Kerry used that silly phrase. It is so pseudo-tough.

You’re right. Glenn must have been misinformed.

Wonder what explains her slip in the polls.

Barack Obama has countered a John McCain ad about the Illinois senator’s controversial connections with an ad of his own.

The Democratic nominee launched a website on the link between the Arizona senator and S&L loan scandal figure Charles Keating.

It’s the latest attempt to score points by hitting the candidate of the other party on connections to dubious figures in their past. Over the weekend, the McCain campaign strongly pushed the link between Obama and former Weather Underground member William Ayers.

Now, the Illinois senator’s campaign is responding by putting together a documentary on the “Keating Five.”

“The current economic crisis demands that we understand John McCain’s attitudes about economic oversight and corporate influence in federal regulation,” the campaign said on the website, which was launched Sunday night. “Nothing illustrates the danger of his approach more clearly than his central role in the savings and loan scandal of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s.”

The website states that the GOP nominee “was accused of improperly aiding his political patron, Charles Keating, chairman of the Lincoln Savings and Loan Association.”

According to the Obama campaign’s website, “The Keating scandal is eerily similar to today’s credit crisis, where a lack of regulation and cozy relationships between the financial industry and Congress has allowed banks to make risky loans and profit by bending the rules.

“And in both cases, John McCain’s judgment and values have placed him on the wrong side of history,” the site stated.

The McCain campaign did not immediately return a request for comment.

Young Voters Choose Obama 2-to-1 Over McCain

Monday, October 6, 2008 11:03 AM

A new poll released Monday says young voters pick Barack Obama over John McCain. The poll by USA Today, MTV and Gallup finds that 75% of young people are registered to vote and among youth voters Democratic candidate Senator Barack Obama has a two-to-one lead over Republican candidate Senator John McCain.

Sixty three percent of respondents say they’d vote for Obama today vs. 30 percent who would vote for McCain - an overwhelming edge and the biggest generational gap between two candidates ever seen since exit polling began in 1976.

Increasing turnout among young voters in 2004, 2006 and in the 2008 primaries indicates to many analysts that young people will be out in force in November, despite the perception that this demographic consists of unreliable voters.

Their strongly Democratic partisan bent could be good news for Democrats for years to come, given that political attitudes in past elections have shaped partisanship through voters’ lifetimes.

Regardless of which side of the aisle young voters fall on, 82 percent agree that this election is among the most critical in recent history. The USA Today/MTV/Gallup poll finds that young voters see Obama as much more likely to understand their lives and share their priorities. He’s also the one they’d rather sit down and have a beer with, have as their teacher or report to as their boss.

Is it possible that Øbama could appoint his associates, both lawyers, terrorist couple Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn to the Supreme Court?
