The “it is over” crowd is tiresome. It is one thing to acknowledge we’re down, and we have a tough fight ahead (which is true).. but to simply declare it is over?

So why bother with a campaign? Why even bother to come on the Free Republic to discuss the race when you’ve already decided it is over?

They remind me of the same "it's over" crowd we dealt with on FR regarding Iraq in '05 and '06.

A lot of them got quite nasty and belligerent with me, told me I was "dreaming," was a "pollyanna," and much worse when I advised them not to believe the media, prgress was occurring, that patience was required and that this was going to work.

Not a one of them has been big enough to come to me now and admit they were wrong or apologize for their boorish behavior.

About the same sort of response I'd expect from...say, Harry Reid. ;-)
