You mean like the October polls that had Bush up over Gore by 6 to 8 points? Or the October polls that had Clinton leading Dole by 24 points? Or those October polls that had Reagan and Carter “too close to call”? Or those October polls showing Carter with huge leads over Fords. Same for Nixon over Humphrey?

Like the October polls that had Bush over Kerry by one or two points?

Sunday, October 24, 2004 Email to a FriendAdvertisementIn the latest Rasmussen Reports full week's polling sample, President George W. Bush holds a two percentage point lead over Senator Kerry. For the week ending Thursday, October 14, Bush has 48.5% of the vote and Kerry has 46.5%.

Or the October polls that had Bush over Gore by a point or two?

As I said--pick and choose if you want to. I'm interested in reality, and if you really think McCain is ahead, or gaining strength, go right ahead. I'm not interested in changing anyone's mind who just wants to live in a dream world.

I've noticed that when the "it's over" crowd is called out, they tend to get quite angry and defensive.

The fact is so simple. It's not "over" until the last polls close on November 4th and yet, there are quite a few declaring it "over" a month in advance.

Gotta wonder about the motive there. Will they be gloating if The One should win this? ;-)
