Alaska Attorney General Talis Colberg announced today that seven state employees will now honor subpoenas to testify in the legislative investigation of the Troopergate affair.
Colberg said the decision comes in light of a judge's ruling last week rejecting an attempt to quash the subpoenas....
The Legislature's investigator, retired state prosecutor Steve Branchflower, is expected to complete his report by Friday into whether Gov. Sarah Palin abused her power by trying to force the firing of a state trooper involved in a child custody battle with her sister.

working hard for Obama tonight?
The trooper threatened to kill Palins father
The guy who refused to fire the trooper threatened to kill his own wife.
Birds of a feather.
If they want to stand up for a wife beater, go ahead.
Just think! Branchflower and French will get to kiss “The One’s” ring and shine his shoes if they can come up with some good stuff. This is what Governor Palin gets for challenging Alaska’s status quo, Good Old Boys Club. When you have both DemocRATS AND “Republicans” pissed off at you, you know that you’re doing something right.
The EEO laws, in fact, establish that a spouse of a member of a protected minority has exactly the same rights under the law as his or her spouse.
This business about the trooper threatening to kill Governor Palin's father probably violates a dozen federal laws ~ and unless that trooper can come up with some Native American ancestry, he could end up going to a federal prison for a long time, and so could his buddy at the top of the chain of command.
I get the idea that the Democrat in charge of conducting this blood purge hasn't got the slightest idea what he's into.
If I were the Governor I'd definitely take the opportunity to drag these pukes into federal court (for what could turn out to be the rest of their lives ~ only rarely do the federal courts work swiftly).
Unfortunately that little tidbit will be absent from any further investigation and subsequent media report(s).

The continued meddling in the State of Alaska’s affair by the Obama campaign and the DNC is just disgusting.
