And to belabor my point above, there is absolutely no reason to believe an Obama administration would contribute to any of the above. For example, we've seen his "education administration" in action with the Chicago Annenberg Challenge: Give hundreds of thousands of dollars to political-agitation groups run by his friends. Does anyone think implementing this on a national scale would improve educational results?

A person who does not care about a helpless infant will NEVER care about him or her at any other point in their life.

Well, I think you’re right. For all the Democrats’ talk about compassion and helping people, they insist on counterproductive economic measures and continue supporting programs that have proved to be harmful. If they really cared about improving people’s lives, they would make an effort to identify and promote policies that actually work for people. Things like lower taxes, a free market in employment and housing, self-sufficiency, family stability, easing small business formation, and so on. They don’t.
