ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is accusing Democrat Barack Obama of "palling around with terrorists" for his association with a former 1960s radical.
Palin was referring to Bill Ayers, one of the founders of the group the Weather Underground. The group took credit for bombings, including nonfatal explosions at the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol four decades ago.

This has to be the “unleashing”. We’re about 4 weeks out. Obama has peaked (I hope...pun intended).
With all apologies to Monty Python, three is not the magic number of the holy hand grenade of campaign weeks right now. Four is. Three weeks is too short a period of time....five weeks, especially with the financial mess dominating the headlines, was too many. Four weeks is the perfect amount of time to close this deal....especially after Palin’s performance in the debate. Two weeks is too few. Six was absolutely out of the question....four weeks :-)!
Let’s go Palin....uh, McCain/Palin :-)!!!!!
So according to the liberal media they should not be called terrorists because nobody died in their bombings.
If he denies it then point out that he has ALREADY sat down at the table with a terrorist in a board room!
I am amazed how few voters actually have heard of the Ayers connection. I was having lunch last Saturday with a former Vietnam vet (1st ID). He had no idea 0bama was friends with Ayers, and I’m betting there are plenty of regular folks in fly-over country who lived through the 60s, remember the Weathermen, and would be horrified to know that 0bama approves of the organization.
Drudge has it at top....
And so it begins.
Wish she said it in the debate with 70 million watching!
Do we know that, or is the media inferring that?
I ask because Obama seems pretty cozy with CAIR and HAMAS, to say nothing of the warm words he's elicited from Ahmedinijad and Muammar Quadaffy.
Or maybe that's just a crack at his former classmates at the Indonesian madrassa. ;-)
Prediction: The moderator at the next debate will ask McCain to denounce Palins’s comments. McCain BETTER know the details and be prepared to ATTACK and not let up. If I see him make a lame attempt to justify Palin’s comments and not even be aware of all of the information supporting the allegtions, I am going to be pissed.
I can’t wait to see the fear on the MSM’s face when they realize the mistake they’ve made.
Hannity's show, plus Mac's camp listing the "closeness", hopefully will blow the NYT's story right out of the water!
Yes, about time! Many of the squishy middle I’ve talked to don’t know anything about Obama’s relationship with the unrepentant terrorist Ayers.
Time for the campaign to stop being so stupidly honorable in the face of blatant and sickening media cheerleading for Obama and open up a can of whoop-butt. Sarah’s perfect to do it since she can speak plainly about it and get right to the heart of the matter. And the Left despises her anyways so make their heads explode - go, Sarah, go!
BTW - I’m still struggling to understand why on earth a known terrorist who tried to blow up citizens of his own country is allowed to roam around free, living the good life and infecting the minds of young people. Unbelievable.
Oh, well then, no harm, no foul...
The AP is a joke. They are trying to downplay the terrorist angle to mitigate any possible tarnish to Obama from hanging around with such people. Can anybody imagine an AP story about a hypothetical non-Obama politician with pals who were Ex-KKK 'nonfatal' cross burners or 'nonfatal' black church burners?
No bias here......
Pray for W, McCuda and Our Troops
Here is the problem, Osama and the MSM will ply the race card.
I hope Sarah is tough enough to withstand it.
Hillary and McCain are tough, but the race card was their Achilles heel
We should FLOOD Campbell Brown with emails thanking her.....
We should also FLOOD McCain with emails thanking him ....
Obama cannot stand it when Palin attacks him. Remember when he obsessed about her convention attacks day after day? It has to do with his ego (ie her laughing at his experience as a “community organizer”) but I also think he’s clearly a bit of a chauvinist.
It’s shrewd to goad him into responding to her about his past. He clearly cannot take the attacks on his past. I think she also needs to continue to ridicule his ‘experience.’ Being an agitator and then presiding over an extreme left wing non-profit in Chicago which sought to indoctrinate students and didn’t do jack to improve the quality of their education is worthy of ridicule.
I liked the line in her convention speech about him having written two autobiographies already. What arrogance!
I love this woman! Todd is one lucky guy.
IMHO, for all his faults, only McCain would have the guts to tap Palin, and damn if that hasn’t paid off.
