As the former Vice President of the Young Democrats in my town, I can tell you that you are wrong. There are tons of hispanics in Texas who will not vote for Obama. There are tons of old time democrats, and women who will not vote for Obama.
Hillary was in San Antonio yesterday asking for Dems to vote for Obama. Many told her flat out that was not going to happen. They will vote for down ticket dems, but not for Nobama.

As far as I understand, Free Republic is "an online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism." Now, frankly, advocating the expulsion of conservatives who aren't Republican and promoting a decidedly non-conservative Republican by whitewashing his record of one-way "bipartisan" treachery is neither independent and grass-roots nor conservative.
Obviously, FR belongs to Jim Robinson, and as a private operator, he may do with it as he wishes; but, otherwise, as far as I can tell, the day that blind loyalty to the Republican Party no matter what becomes the prerequisite for FR membership over adherence to conservative principles is the day that FR becomes nothing more than a mouthpiece of the Republican Party, just like Pravda was an organ of the Soviet government and Granma, of Castro and the Communists in Cuba.
As for McCain's consistently "bipartisan" record, I agree with upchuck, this idiocy needs to stop. Rewarding him with the presidency and then failing to counter him and check him at his every left turn only serves to validate everything he has done to (unwittingly?) damage the conservative movement and the Reagan conservative brand.
You are not promiting a conservative agenda, you are working on an Obama victory. You people have no shame.

As an independent PUMA I have been saying all along that the Republicans need to recognize the hard work the PUMA’s are doing. The NODEAL site is also working hard. All of you doubters need to do some research on the PUMA’s before bashing them and welcome to the cause. If we don’t defeat Obama this time there will probably not be a next time in 2012. He is a dangerous man and needs to be defeated. So to repeat stop whining, get off your butts, and lets forget about party and remember we are Americans. For those of you who are just so sure of yourselves and so sure that PUMAs aren’t sincere—go ahead, go to the hillaryclintonforum.net and see with your own eyes. Or is your mind as closed as an Obamabot’s? I’m not a PUMA but I am open-minded enough to give credit where credit is due. These PUMAs are working their a$$es off with phone banks, canvassing, sending in money—all to help McCain-Palin. They like Palin just as much as we do, and for the very same reasons. A lot of them figure history can be made in 2012—Palin vs. Hillary—but only if we make sure McCain-Palin wins this election.

As for taking off the gloves and getting nasty, when it comes to McCain's bipartisanship, usually McCain is taking off the gloves and getting nasty against conservatives. And don't tell me that this is some sort of "strategery" to try and advance conservatism in the long run, because it's not.
