There is no such thing as a “state jail” my friend. Jails are counties and cities — state correctional facilities are called “prisons”. And yes, you ARE correct that federal prisons are better than state prisons.

Although cells offer more privacy, they are psychological torture, with how small they are (living in a closet) and how a cellmate will certainly be required, as no one gets a private cell, unless you’re in solitary confinement (ad seg).
