Ohio Co. announces "The Sarah-Cuda" Hunting Bow
Fox News ^

Posted on 10/03/2008 3:44:28 PM PDT by AFreeBird

Just saw this on Fox News. An Ohio company has created a Bow for the ladies as a tribute to Sarah Palin.

I thought it was a nice tribute to Sarah and to the women of America.

Here's a Wiki page on the compound bow. It has a better profile pic that shows the sting better.

Is it Barry season or Joe season?

The arrow goes on the string with the black in the middle.

I am curious. Is this type of bow or the other two normally the height of a person and if so why?

You’re thinking of a “long bow” a la Robin Hood. The longer the bow, the more leverage, the more power. But they’re a little unwieldy. Think of a compound bow as taking the advantage of a the long bow and making it smaller/shorter.

A compound bow like this is about three feet in height. The cables (pink strings) and pulleys (circular discs) allow for the bow to be pulled back with moderate force (30-65lbs in this case) which is then reduced substantially (60-80%) when pulled back fully. This lets the archer properly aim and release the arrow without having to be a super strong hulk.

Ha you’re funny!

:-)

I wonder if they’ll price it low for us people in the middle class?

It’s getting ridiculously expensive to hunt these days... and hard to find land to do it on without stepping on another hunter, unless you’re rich enough to own land.
